Current Affairs for Civil Services: Revise in 30 Minutes a Day

Keep the input small

Choose one newspaper or one reliable daily capsule and stick to it. Switching sources multiplies reading time without improving retention.

Link news to the syllabus

For each item ask: which subject and topic does this belong to? Add it to your static notes so that current affairs strengthens — not replaces — your base.

A 30-minute routine

  • 15 minutes: read or watch the day's capsule
  • 10 minutes: write 3–5 one-line points
  • 5 minutes: recall yesterday's points without looking

Weekly and monthly recap

Every weekend revise the week's notes; at month-end compile a one-page summary per subject. Practise questions on the month to test recall.
